At HCS we continually strive to improve the quality of the services we offer to our customers and recent focus has been our own combined electronic billing and document archive and retrieval system, Aurora.
In an online survey we recently encouraged our customers to provide some very honest feed-back and are pleased to share the outcome.
“Love using Aurora for the flexibility” and the system is “very user friendly” were just a few statements from among the encouraging feedback we received.
In fact, our customers confirmed that the Aurora system is user friendly, easy to use. In fact, 70% of our users expressed extreme satisfaction with the product.
We also received useful feedback with suggestions to improve the software even further and we are now intent on listening to our customers suggestions by putting a plan in place to update our software accordingly.
Our development team are now working on incorporating suggestions from our user base and the next version of Aurora will include a new more intuitive search panel for contrasting searches, updates to the search page layout and an improved the search experience with a more informative messaging function. We are also aiming to introduce a settings section to allow users to personalise their search page.
We are extremely grateful for the honest feed-back from our users which will enable us to work towards our ambition of providing total customer satisfaction and further improving our software to suit all of our client’s specific requirements.

As we approach the end of the financial year, the success of a company is normally measured by how well the company has performed financially throughout that time. As we approach this end of financial year, our Managing Director Paul Haigh is very much aware the measure of success is more than that.
Throughout the pandemic, like many of the world’s workforce, working from home has become the new ‘normal’. HCS were quick to realise that the short and long-term mental health and morale of staff needed to become a high priority whilst working remotely. Remote working bought different challenges from a mental health perspective that HCS workforce had not ever had to experience before.
Through regular checking in with staff for their well-being, reassuring any anxieties experienced and always encouraging staff to keep in touch, our management team have not only supported staff but also led a change in mindset to recognise success through daily engagement and achievement rather than long term goals. The small steps taken to daily consider the struggles staff have faced have strengthened the team spirit and deepened the HCS’s sense of community. This itself is a measure of success that HCS are very proud of. As we hopefully venture out of restrictions over the coming months, HCS have a healthy mindset which has bolstered their performance and strengthened resolve for the future.

We are now in our 20th year of providing services to ABG which involves processing, dispatching and archiving invoices and statements across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Leicester City Football Club fans are reknowned for their commitment to their club but none more so than HCS’ IT technician Paul Hing. Apart from being a fan, Paul is also our own LCFC celebrity! Before the pandemic Paul had appeared in every home match since 2009 playing the posthorn to the crowd as the team line up to come onto the pitch.
To keep spirts up Paul has continued to play the posthorn gallop locally in lockdown and will be playing it to his neighbours just prior to kick-off tomorrow. Have a listen to Paul’s interview on BBC Leicester live yesterday for an insight into how he became selected, how it feels to perform in front of a capacity audience and what tomorrow means to LCFC.

How do we share information?
We will not share your personal details such as name, address, email, telephone etc, or information about your business, with any organisation other than our own, Data Controller, parties authorised by the Data Controller or if ordered to do so by a recognised legal authority.
Do you transfer data outside of the EEU?
HCS may transfer data to it’s sister company, UkrData located in Ukraine. There are strict rules governing the processing of data which are detailed in a Data Protection Policy specifically written to cover the relationship.
Data will only be transferred where there is a clear need to do so and in accordance with Clauses 1 (specifically points a, b & c) of Article 49 of GDPR 2016 which states:
a.the data subject has explicitly consented to the proposed transfer, after having been informed of the possible risks of such transfers for the data subject due to the absence of an adequacy decision and appropriate safeguards;

Data retention, account deactivation and deletion
We store data until it is no longer required to provide services to the Data Controller. This is by a client-by-client determination and will fall in line with their agreed retention period. For example, the Data Controller may have a legal requirement for us to store documents for 10 years and for them to be available for you to view for the entirety of that period. Other Data Controllers may only require us to store the data for a number of months before deleting it.
Whilst we will always undertake our obligations to delete accounts, if asked to do so, it is our recommendation that you discuss this with the Data Controller before a formal request is made. You are under no obligations to do so, however there may be consequences that HCS are unaware of and cannot therefore advise you of.
Data supplied to us via our web forms (on our website) will be stored for 2 years. You have the right for this data to be deleted
Access data stored in system logs, such as IP addresses, will be stored for 180 days for security purposes.
How can you exercise your rights under GDPR?
